Design Process: It’s The Little Things

December 7, 2012 | 3 Comments

As with other designs, I wanted to share my design process for our newest tee It’s The Little Things. As you can see from the sketches, I went through quite the array of styles before I honed in on the final design, which ended up being simpler than most of my initial sketches.

Simplicity is not always as easy as it looks. If fact if you’ve ever tried to design something “simple” you know exactly what I’m talking about. There’s a lot more detail and thought that goes into it than initially meets the eye. I often find that the best way to reach the simplest solution is to push the design too far and then slowly strip it back to its purest form. Obviously there were a lot of steps in between what you see here, but this gives you a brief look into my process.
